I am a relational therapist, accredited in both Cognitive Analytic therapy and EMDR therapy. My approach is integrative and I have undertaken training in several other modalities including CBT, psychodynamic, Compassion-Focused and client-centred therapy.

I am also trained and certified to deliver the Safe and Sound Protocol which is based on Dr Stephen Porges’ Polyvagal Theory. The Safe and Sound Protocol is an intervention designed to down-regulate the autonomic nervous system and help restore homeostasis. It does this by resetting the body’s sense of safety and helps the traumatised client access therapy in a more receptive way. Please note I only offer Safe and Sound Protocol in person.

I work for the Ministry of Defence as a senior specialist nurse therapist and also have a small private practice.

I have more than twenty years experience working in mental health and my core professional registration is in mental health nursing. I have worked in a variety of mental health settings within the NHS, working with adults and older adults.

Specialist interest and experience:

Military-related trauma/PTSD and working with military personnel and veterans, tri-service
Adult ADHD
Complex/developmental trauma

I also offer therapy for the following issues:

Depression and recurrent depressive disorder
Relationship issues
Bereavement and loss
Grief abreaction
Adjustment reaction/disorder
Fear of ageing and death
Drug abuse
