About

I am a Specialist Professional working with Addiction Counselling, Co-dependency, Trauma, Anxiety, Stress and Depression. I work with couples and individuals. If you’re struggling with Relationship issues I will be able to help you.

I am a registered member of the BACP and I have worked in Private Practice 3 1/2 years – Prior to this I have undertaken a number of voluntary, temporary, sessional and permanent roles in London and The South East working in treatment centres, GP surgeries, Prisons and Hospitals. I have also undergone extensive training which complements and enhances my therapeutic work. This includes Addiction, Co-Dependency, Couple Therapy and Relationship issues, Depression, Anxiety and Stress in the workplace.

My experience includes working as a Psychotherapist in a Rehabilitation wing in a Prison, Various GP surgeries and Treatment centres for Drug and Alcohol addiction and general mental health issues. I also have over 25 years experience working with the 12-step recovery approach for Co-dependency and addiction.

Prior to working in mental health and addiction, I worked in the corporate sector where I developed strong mentoring, management, training and leadership skills. I have a good understanding of the stresses of working life, particularly the balance between the personal and the professional; the private and public.

With a strong background in Mental Health, Education, Business and the field of Addiction, my knowledge and experience has allowed me to see problems from a broader angle in assisting people find their own unique way to deal with their difficulties. I understand the internal and external pressures people can put on themselves, which can lead to unhelpful or damaging coping strategies.
